“We went on this memorable tour on 9th November 2024. Our tour guide, Aleksi, was so passionate about the Northern lights and he’s also a great photographer. It was a really good night for seeing the aurora and we were in 1 location the entire time. Aleksi had direct communication with a scientist that would let him know the chances of a good aurora sighting. If it hadn’t been such a good night, Aleksi would have continued driving further north to find a more ideal location for seeing the Northern lights. “Really recommend this tour! Pekka and Amanda were such great hosts. Pekka picked us up from our accommodation around 8.15pm and we drove to a first location where the aurora was the brightest and strongest! He set up his DSLR camera and took really beautiful pictures for everyone. We sat there for a while to observe the aurora, before driving to 2 other locations (we actually napped in the vehicle). However by then the clouds came over and we couldnt see a strong aurora anymore. However they should take care of the winter clothes they give to participants in terms of how clean they are, especially with covid-19, we received onw with tissues in the pocket. But our guide Micky was amazing, she drove further away so we can see the northern lights and we enjoyed a great barbecue and they even got us corn due to dietary restrictions we have. “This trip was included with breathtaking views and sights. Some fantastic pictures from the guides. The trek was reasonably short and on a path therefore not through thick snow. Guides were excellent at matching the pace to the group to ensure everyone has the best experience possible. Lunch was minimal of cooking a sausage over the fire but all traditional Finnish experience. Quite expensive for the day but for us it was worth it and we all enjoyed it.”
